Join me for what should be an exciting spring walk at Pella Crossing! This location is exceptional for waterfowl and song birds. There have been some great rarities spotted here! The variety of habitat from lake to wetland to cottonwoods means there are A LOT of different species using this location. March may be a great time to start seeing early spring migrants, raptors, and lingering waterfowl. Let’s check it out! We’ll meet at the Pella Crossing parking lot, then likely venture on the path on the west side of 75th, then loop around the lakes near the parking area.
Depending on weather, the event may be rescheduled if inclement weather is looking probable. I will reach out to everyone up to 2 days before to reschedule as needed.
The parking lot can get full, especially on a nice day! If we need to park in town, we will coordinate on that day. Make sure to add your phone number to the sign up form so I can contact you if needed.
