Wednesday Walks are back! Yay! Join me for the first in the series as we explore Castlewood Canyon State Park. A valid state parks pass is required, or you can purchase one when you arrive. I also have a state parks pass and can pick you up near the park to drive us in. Depending on how many want to join, this may be an option for up to 3 people.

Castlewood Canyon is a new location for me, so let’s explore it together! If you have been there before, please reach out with the best hikes in the park that are birding friendly and approachable for all skill levels.

Otherwise, if there are no suggestions, I am planning to enter at the main/east entrance of the park and meet at the visitor center. Then, we’ll explore Canyon View Nature Trail, Inner Canyon, and Lake Gulch Trails. We will see what winter birds and wildlife we can find while enjoying some fresh fall air! If people would like to have a picnic lunch afterward, we can find a spot for lunch together.
