April 10, 2024 - Old Loveland Fairgrounds Park
See the e-bird checklists here and here.
The walk started out a bit windy, with considerable cloudiness. The winds died down a little bit for our walk around River’s Edge Natural Area just west of the Old Fairgrounds Park. We then took a side tour to Boise Bend Natural Area to observe a large Great Blue Heron rookery (along with nesting Osprey). The lighting and wind were challenging for photo-taking, but I did manage to get a few photos. I went back to River’s Edge Natural Area again and noted American White Pelicans, Western Meadowlarks, & Blue-Winged Teals which did not make it onto my e-Bird list.
Do you have any photos you want to share? Send me a message (laura@lnsphotography.net) and I’ll add them to the gallery & credit you!
