PARK ON FLORENCE WAY - WE WILL MEET AT THE HAVANA STREET ENTRANCE
Bluff Lake has an interesting past, from being an irrigation pond to becoming Denver’s largest open space, this unique urban area allows nature to thrive. We have a couple different path options to explore the park and hopefully see many of the spring birds making their way through. There are currently nesting Great Horned Owls, Bald Eagles, and Red-tailed Hawks in the area.
Bluff Lake is a birding hotspot, as well as an excellent place to see deer, coyote, prairie dog, and more! Bring your binoculars, camera gear, water/snacks, layers, and sunscreen so we can fully explore this wonderful habitat. Weather permitting, the event may be canceled or rescheduled up to 2 days before it starts. I will email you if there is a change.
THERE IS NO PARKING AT BLUFF LAKE WHILE IT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. MEET AT THE HAVANA STREET ENTRANCE - more information about access can be found on the Bluff Lake webpage
