I’m trying something new this year! First Friday activities that will be different than my Wednesday Walks. For this event, we’ll focus on mindful birding. What is Mindful Birding, you may ask? It is the practice of mindfully taking in your surroundings, observing, listening, and enjoying, and taking time to immerse your mind in your environment. This is typically practiced while staying still (similar to meditating) but can also be done while slowly moving through the environment. We will do a session at my local Mushroom Pond, which is accessible to all abilities. Bring a camp chair if you have one, we may use them to sit and enjoy the area. We may also just take a leisurely walk around the pond (less than 1 mile total). Paths are a mix of concrete and dirt, mostly flat, with some slight incline in a couple places. Please reach out with any questions & sign up below!
Depending on weather, the event may be rescheduled if inclement weather is looking probable. I will reach out to everyone up to 2 days before to reschedule as needed.
